Belgrade to Make Eight-Year Action Plan for Construction Waste Management – Company Sought for Condition Analysis and Document Preparation

The City of Belgrade has opened the tender for the preparation of the Action Plan for construction and demolition waste management in Belgrade for 2022-2030.

According to the project task, the aim is to solve the current problems in construction and demolition waste management.

– The Action Plan should enable the control of the creation and usage of waste and incentives for investing and affirmation of the economic potentials of construction waste, in lieu of a bylaw on construction and demolition waste management – the press release says.

It is pointed out that, as a consequence of rapid construction activities in Belgrade, large amounts of construction waste are present, which is not matched by the necessary infrastructure for the collection and disposal of construction waste, and there is no practice of separating construction and demolition waste or a scheme for the recycling of this kind of waste, so it is often disposed of in inadequate locations.

The subject of the public procurement is an analysis of the condition of construction and demolition waste management in the city of Belgrade, which includes a register of all the construction sites in Belgrade, and then also the preparation of the Action Plan for construction and demolition waste management in the city for 2022-2030 and the guidelines for handling construction and demolition waste at the construction site.

The tender lasts until August 28.
