Largest Economic Forum of Serbia and Russia So Far in Early October

The largest economic forum of Serbia and Russia so far is to be organized by the Government of Serbia, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the Russian Export Center on October 4-5, 2021, in Belgrade.

– Our partners from the Russian Export Center have announced that this forum will involve over 100 companies from the Russian Federation. These are the most powerful companies from the fields of infrastructure, energy, agricultural-food sector, chemical complex, commerce, information technologies, and the biggest Russian banks will be present as well – said the minister of innovations and technological development and the chairman of the Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation of Serbia and Russia, Nenad Popovic.

He pointed out that the signing of numerous agreements on cooperation between Serbian and Russian companies was expected, as announced on the Cabinet’s website.

– This forum is an opportunity for our companies to present their products and services that could find their place in the Russian market. At the same time, this is an opportunity for our state and economy to present their investment potentials to the biggest Russian public and private companies which want to increase their presence in the Serbian market – said Popovic.

He pointed out that the Russian Export Center had the ability to support the Russian companies which want to operate in Serbia and invest in it.

– The economic relations of Serbia and Russia are constantly growing and new perspectives for the development of the relations of the two countries in all fields are opening all the time. What the Government of the Republic of Serbia will work the most on in the future is the systemic support to Serbian companies in being present in the market of the Russian Federation to a greater extent – Popovic said.

He reminded that Serbia and Russia had a customs-free agreement, which enables Serbian companies to export practically everything they produce to Russia without paying the customs fee.
