U.S. Embassy to Reprocess All Categories of Visa Requests from Residents of Serbia and Montenegro

The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade has begun processing visa requests, including tourist visas.

The explanation says that the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade is processing requests for nonimmigrant visas exclusively for residents of Serbia or persons with permanent residency in Serbia, whereas the dates scheduled by foreign residents without a permanent residency in Serbia will be automatically cancelled.

It is noted that the availability of free dates for tourist and business trips is very limited and that immigrant and fiancé visas are given priority, whereas other dates are awarded by priority.

The embassy also says that the requests for immigrant visas are processed exclusively for residents of Serbia and residents of Montenegro or those with a permanent residency in Serbia or Montenegro.

In March 2020, the U.S. stopped issuing visas in all countries of the world, except in cases of emergency, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
