New Investor in Smederevo – German Company Koepfer to Build Facility for Production of Gears for Automotive Industry, Jobs for 250 Workers

The company Koepfer has bought land in the Smederevo industrial zone, where it plans to build a new production facility, the mayor’s cabinet announced.

The first phase is expected to be realized by mid-2022, when a new factory facility will be built on 3,000 m2.

Koepfer produces gears for the automotive industry, and the opening of a new facility in Smederevo will secure, as said, 250 new jobs.

The funds gained from the sale of the land, slightly under RSD 85 million, will be invested in the construction of a new kindergarten in Smederevo.
