Minister of Finance Expecting Agreement on Increase of Minimum Wage to RSD 35,000

Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali stated today that he expected the growth rate in the second quarter to amount to 12-15% and that an agreement would be reached between the trade unions, employers and the Government of Serbia, which are to start in a few days, for the minimum wage to be raised to RSD 35,000.

– In the first quarter, the growth rate is 1.7%, and we expect it to be 12-15% in the second quarter, which is a huge step forward, because, last year, in the second quarter, we had a negative 6.4%, and now the result will be twice as good – Mali said on TV Pink.

The minister expressed his conviction that the minimum wage in Serbia would reach EUR 300 (RSD 35,000) for the first time.
