10 buyers interested in Panonska banka - Intesa, OTP, Alfa, Piraeus, Credit agricole

Ten banks have submitted the letters of intention about the purchase of 87.39% of capital of “Panonska Banka” from Novi Sad. The interest in the privatization of “Panonska Banka” was confirmed by Piraeus Bank, National Bank and Alfa Bank from Greece, Hungarian OTP and Polish PKO Bank, HVAB Bank, French Crédit Agricole, Bayerische Landesbank, as well as Italian banks Sao Paolo and Intesa. According to the data provided by the Deposit Insurance Agency, Panonska Banka owns the assets of 126,8 million EUR, total capital of 32,5 million EUR, 56 branches and 100.000 clients – 91 % of them are the citizens. Public invitation for the sale of State-owned capital in “Panonska Banka” was announced on October 28, 2005.
