"Telenor" completed the first quarter of 2010 in Serbia with a decrease in revenue of 16%

The company "Telenor" had a turnover of 625 million Norwegian crowns (about EUR 78.1 million), in the second quarter of this year, in Serbia, which is 16% less than in the same period in 2009.
Number of "Telenor" customers in Serbia, which operates under the Norwegian group, fell by 7,000 in the second quarter of this year, to 2.882 million, and " Telenor" company's share in the Serbian market for mobile telephony was kept at 34%.
The profit in dinars before refusing interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose by 2%, mainly due to lower operating costs by 10% as a result of small scale non-performing debts, as well as lower sales and marketing costs.
"Telenor" d.o.o. decreased the number of employees in May,010 by 10%.
At the global level, "Telenor" had in the second quarter of 2010 the revenue of 25.2 billion NOK, which is 5% higher than in the same period last year. Operating profit reached 2.9 billion Norwegian crowns. During the second quarter, the number of mobile users of "Telenor" rose by 5.4 million, and now it stands at 184.4 million.
