The "Yellow Bridge" in Zrenjanin Has Been Opened - Reconstruction Worth 49 million dinars

The Prime Minister of Vojvodina, Bojan Pajtic released on Friday, July 16 , in traffic, the reconstructed, "Yellow Bridge" in Zmaj Jovina Street in Zrenjanin, which is of vital importance to the operation of traffic in the city.

Pajtić said that the Province has invested in the reconstruction of the bridge about 40 million, while the city of Zrenjanin participated with about 9 million.

According to Pajtic, the Provincial Government takes special care on the development of Zrenjanin since, as he said, the city, with locations in the vicinity, is the development momentum of the entire Middle Banat.

- That is why we have in the past year and a half ago through provincial programs employed about 1,200 people, and during the last four years, grants have invested nearly three billion dinars in the development of infrastructure in the town of Zrenjanin and the surrounding areas, but also into the objects of great social significance - said Pajtić.

He said that the reconstruction of "Yellow Bridge" as one of the major projects, not only because the bridge is one of the main city streets, but also because they practically turned a reconstruction of the bridge into the building a new one.

Zrenjanin Mayor Mile Dr. Mikhailov said that this is a significant day for Zrenjanin, because "the opening of the bridge opened artery vessels" of the traffic in the city.

- I first apologize to our citizens, because this reconstruction lasted six months, but we got a brand new bridge that was in extremely poor condition and ripe for the reconstruction of many years ago - said Dr. Mikhailov.

"Yellow Bridge" was closed to traffic in mid-November last year. The works began in Belgrade company "Inter-bridge", and it was planned that they last for three months. However, the company "Inter-bridge", in the meanwhile, went into bankruptcy, so the work continued and was completed by Sabac company "Interkop".
