Filling of First Leg of Nord Stream 2 Gas Pipeline Begins

The undersea segment of the first leg of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is technically finished and is to be put into operation today, as announced by the Nord Stream 2 AG company, the operator of the gas pipeline.

– The pipeline was completed on June 4. The connecting was done today – the undersea parts of the gas pipeline laid down between the Russian and the German sides have been connected. The filling of the gas pipeline starts tomorrow – says the announcement published on Thursday, as reported by TASS.

The company added that the works on laying down the pipes on the second leg of Nord Stream 2 were in progress.
