Construction of Footpath Begins at Zdrelo Spa – RSD 50 Million Invested in Tourism Development Project

The construction of a footpath has begun at the Zdrelo spa. This is the first phase of the project with a total length of 2.62 km, and the works are planned to be completed in two months.

The entire project envisages the construction of a footpath of 5 km on the Malo Laole-Zdrelo-Gornjacka Klisura route. Interactive panels will be installed along the path, informing the tourists in Serbian and English about the highlights of this tourist location. The installation of benches, waste baskets and tourist signalization along the path is planned as well, so that the visitors would feel as comfortable as possible.

The whole project, worth RSD 49.9 million, is jointly financed by the Ministry of Economy and the Municipality of Petrovac, as announced on the website of the municipal administration.

Zdrelo is located in the municipality’s territory and features a thermal-mineral water spring. The water is of a special chemical composition and helps treat rheumatic diseases and speeds up the recovery from traumas and bone fractures.

According to the findings of the Institute for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation of the Republic of Serbia and the Institute for Internal Diseases “Dr Vlastimir Godic”, the water is also useful as a supplement in the treatment of numerous skin diseases.
