Investments in small and medium-sized hydroelectric power plants - the Czech "Hydropol" interested in 5 locations in Vojvodina

Czech company "HYDROPOL" is interested in 5 locations in Vojvodina, which would in three years, be used for construction of small and medium hydroelectric power plants, which would be a considerable support for stabilization and quality of electricity in the province.

Representatives of the company, which were yesterday (July, 13th 2010.) with Bojan Pajtic, President of IV Vojvodina, expressed willingness to consider investing in additional systems, energy potential, based on gas power plants, particularly the use of biomass in the region of Vojvodina.

At yesterday's meeting it was also discussed about the possibilities of cooperation, including the forms of joint financing and exploitation of the system, taking into account the real needs, elements of the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Serbia on promoting favored producers of electricity, as part of the strategy of technological development of AP Vojvodina, which applies to energy resources.

Company "HYDROPOL" was presented with significant support from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belgrade and with a willingness to mediate the project in relation to the relevant ministries of the Czech Government.

Discussions will be continued through direct consultations, contacts and proposals for joint solutions related to technical, legal and economic issues.

"HYDROPOL" is a reputable European company, which has so far built 12 hydropower plants with 26 generators. The largest project was realized in Macedonia, where it developed and exploited in seven hydropower plants, they participated in investing projects in the Czech Republic and Italy, and they are in the course of the works in Romania and Bulgaria.
