Placement of foundation stone for the bridge Zemun - Borca on July, 14

Tomorrow ( July, 14th, 2010) will be placed foundation stone for the bridge over the Danube in Zemun - Borca, which is worth EUR 170 mil, and the start of construction is scheduled for April 2011.

As announced by the Serbian Parliament, the cornerstone will be placed by the Serbian President Boris Tadic and by the President of the Standing Committee of the All-Chinese People's Congress Wu Bangui.

The event will be attended by the President of the Serbian Assembly, Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, Serbian Prime Minister, Mirko Cvetkovic with members of the Government and Belgrade Mayor, Dragan Djilas with the city authorities representatives.

Contract for construction of the bridge Zemun-Borca was signed on April, 15th, 2010. The bridge will be 1.507 meters long with access roads in the length of about 21.5 kilometers. The deadline for the construction of the bridge is three years.
