Salaries in Serbia Grow 7.5% – Average Salary Exceeds RSD 65,000

Average gross salaries and wages calculated for March 2021 amounted to RSD 89,894, while average net salaries and wages amounted to RSD 65,289, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.

Increase of gross salaries and wages in the period January – March 2021, relative to the same period last year amounted to 7.1% in nominal terms, i.e. 5.6% in real terms. Simultaneously, net salaries and wages increased by 7.3% in nominal terms and by 5.8% in real terms.

Compared with the same month last year, average gross salaries and wages for March 2021 increased by 9.2% in nominal terms and by 7.3% in real terms, while average net salaries and wages increased by 9.4% in nominal terms and by 7.5% in real terms.

Median net salaries and wages for March 2021 amounted to RSD 49,328, meaning that 50% of employees realized wages and salaries up to the mentioned amount.
