First Doses of Sputnik V from Torlak in 15 to 20 Days

The first quantities of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V produced in Serbia could come out of the Torlak Institute in 15 to 20 days, the minister without a portfolio, Nenad Popovic, announced on RTS.

The Russian Nation Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology Gamaleya has confirmed the quality of the vaccine produced at Torlak and approved the production of Sputnik V, and Serbia is the first country in Europe to produce the vaccine.

Popovic said that colleagues from Serbia had had a reception with the director of the Gamaleya Institute and an entire team of experts the day before. They handed them the certificate for the production of the Sputnik V vaccine at Torlak.


He said that, initially, Torlak should produce around 100,000 vaccines and that the first doses could be expected 15 to 20 days later.
