When it comes to active substance imidacloprid, the use of plant protection products based on it is allowed, but only in indoor spaces, which is in line with the previous decision of the EU, the ministry says.
They also point out that, with the adoption of the new List of Allowed Substances, the use of imidacloprid in indoor spaces will be fully banned as well.
Earlier yesterday, it was announced that the highest court of the EU had refused to repeal the decision of a lower court from 2018 on the ban of these three active substances for insecticides.
The ministry notes that plant protection products can be registered in Serbia only if the active substance that the product contains is on the List of Allowed Substances, which is adopted based on the Law on Plant Protection Products.
The List of Allowed Substances is harmonized with the EU decisions on the approval or ban of use of active substances to the end registration of plant protection products.
