Republika Srpska Looking to Boost Social Entrepreneurship – New Law Paving the Road to Fund Access

The Government of Republika Srpska has set the Draft Law on Social Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska.

This law defines the concept, aims and principles of social entrepreneurship, the conditions and the procedure for acquiring the status of a social company, the running of the register of social companies, the tasks and the manner of operations of the Council for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship, as well as other issues of importance for social entrepreneurship.

The law aims to use the potentials of social entrepreneurship for the purpose of a sustainable economic and social growth and development of Republika Srpska.

The law envisages the establishment of a council, the defining of a strategic framework and the implementation of exemptions and funds when the conditions are met for it.
