Hitler's letter for sale

- The letter an imprisoned and impoverished Adolf Hitler wrote to a car dealer begging for a discount on a Mercedes he had his eye on will be auctioned in German city of Fuerth in July - the world press agencies announced. The Berlin daily newspaper Bild has published segments of that letter.

The letter was written in September 1924, at the time when Hitler was imprisoned in Landsberg after the Nazi’s abortive bid to seize power in 1923 in the notorious “beer hall putsch” coup attempt in Munich.

The letter and about 500 documents from the Landsberg prison will start at a price of EUR 25,000 when put up for sale July 2 at an auction house in the Bavarian city of Fuerth.

The documents from the Landsberg prison were recently found by a Nuremberg man among the possessions of his late father.
