DINKIC: Yura starts construction of factory in Nis in late summer

- South Korean automotive components manufacturer Yura will start construction of a new factory in Nis in late summer and employ minimum 1,500 people in it - Serbian Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic said today (June 23, 2010) in Stuttgart.
- He said at the Automotive Components Expo in Stuttgart that it would be the second factory of the South Korean company in Serbia since Yura had started production in Raca few months earlier - it is written in the statement by the Ministry of Economy.
Dinkić said at the presentation of Serbia as a favorable investment destination that the automotive industry was of strategic importance for the future economic development of Serbia.
- That is why we want to bring new companies to invest in Serbia, create new jobs, and enable export of as much automotive components as possible - he said.
According to the statement, Dinkic spoke in Stuttgart to the representatives of the strongest companies in the automotive industry, including Daimler, BMW, Mitsubishi, MAN, Bosch, Denso, and ZF.
- I believe that we will get new contracts and new investments in the automotive industry within next few months - said he.
