Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic said on June 18 that the National Infrastructure Council had adopted the Master Plan for Serbia, which would specify all investments in traffic infrastructure over the next ten years.

In a statement for the Broadcasting Corporation of Serbia (RTS), Mrkonjic said that general guidelines of that plan referred to basic forms of transport – road, rail, air and water traffic. When it comes to roads, the priorities are Corridor 10 and Corridor 11.

In the air traffic, the adaptation of airports is in the pipeline, while for the water traffic, the priority is Corridor 7, i.e. the Danube.

The Minister concluded that the most important fact was that Serbia would invest in infrastructure between €1 billion and €1.5 billion per year over the next ten years.

The Minister added that part of the funds would be provided from European banks and the World Bank, while the rest would be obtained from commercial funds
