Barry Callebaut Soon to Launch Production of Chocolate in Novi Sad – Jobs for 100 Workers

The company Barry Callebaut is soon to start producing at the new chocolate factory in Novi Sad, where over 100 workers will be employed, the mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, said at the meeting with representatives of this company and the Faculty of Technology.

– This is not a strictly business investment. It has a wider social context as well, considering that it involves close cooperation with the Faculty of Technology. That kind of cooperation between the economy and the education system is something we would like to see every time big foreign investments arrive. We want to witness the continuation of the merging of strong companies with the university and the schools. Barry Callebaut will be a good example of dual education for our students. State-of-the-art technology has arrived to our country, so students can now see the practical implementation of something they’ve only heard about during lectures so far, and very close to their faculty as well – Vucevic said.

According to him, after the factory starts working, the supply of local confectionery producers, as well as those throughout southeast Europe, will follow.
