Each Tenth Company Owner in Serbia a Foreigner – Italians Most Numerous

So far, slightly over 85% of the true owners of companies, cooperatives, institutions, foundations and endowments have been listed at the Business Registers Agency. More precisely, there are 180,743 true owners in the central register.

Among the true owners, the most numerous are residents of Serbia, which comprise 89.65%, whereas foreigners account for 10.34%.

Most true owners are registered by companies, followed by institutions, endowments and foundations, whereas the number of the associations that have met this legal obligation is the lowest.

The central register of true owners thereby lists 162,037 local natural persons and 18,695 foreigners, among which Italians are the most numerous.

The Business Registers Agency reminds that the registration of true owners is a permanent obligation of the registered subjects.
