Project of Training Courses for Young People Looking to Make Video Games – Invitation to Comics Authors, Animators, Creative Writers, Sound Designers…

The Serbian Games Association (SGA), in cooperation with the French Institute and the Goethe Institute in Serbia, have announced an invitation for taking part in the project called “Playing Narratives”, meant for everyone interested in developing video games, as announced at a press conference.

– We will announce an open call for participation in a project which is meant for comics authors, animators, illustrators, creative writers, people from the fields of computer graphics and sound design, because the idea is to work as a team, in a transdisciplinary manner – said Relja Bobic of the SGA.

He announced that the participants in the project would attend numerous lectures and workshops held by lecturers from Serbia, France and Germany.

– They will have an opportunity to work on their first concepts of video games and eventually prepare for the session which awaits them in November within the “Digital November” event, when we expect this project cycle to be completed – Bobic said.

He added that a large number of those lectures would be open for a wider public as well, meaning that the program would have an effect not only on the participants, but also on other people in Serbia who are interested in working on gaming projects.

– All the companies that support the project will take active part in it and we hope that creative young people will understand the value that one such program can bring them – Bobic stated.

He added that the topic of the lectures and workshops to be held in the autumn would be the market effects of video games.
