Reconstruction of Hertelendi castle started in Bočar - therapy center for kids and adults with special needs to wait for 2012

Hertelendi castle in Bočar will be reconstructed by the end of 2011 and handed over to Novi Sad-based Milan Petrovic School for Primary and Secondary Education of Kids with Special Needs. The Capital Investment Fund of Vojvodina and the municipality of Novi Bečej have agreed to finance reconstruction with the money from that fund, and the first phase will include the roof structure repair works, for which RSD 20m will be set aside.
The municipality of Novi Bečej has signed the contract with Terming from Novi Sad on elaboration of the main mechanical project for the castle heating and cooling systems.
According to Milivoje Miša Vrebalov, the Mayor of Novi Bečej, 57 million dinars are required for reconstruction of the castle, while the works are planned to be finished by the end of 2011.
- Serious repairs will be done and, in addition to the castle, the property where animals and botanical garden will be settled will be reconstructed as well. The therapy for the future students will be based on the time spent with animals - Vrebalov told eKapija.
What is exceptionally important for the village of Bočar is that 40 people will get jobs.
Speaking of the investments in that municipality, our interlocutor said that construction of the road from Bočar to the bridge across the Tisa in Ada, paving of the bypass, and construction of streets in Novi Bečej were underway.
