NLB Announces Acquisition of All Shares of Komercijalna Banka

Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) D.D. from Ljubljana intends to acquire 16.77% of the shares of Komercijalna Banka AD Belgrade, amounting to 2.82 million shares, according to the document published on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

NLB already has 83.23% of the bank’s shares, so if the announced acquisition succeeds, it will become the sole owner of Komercijalna Banka.

The Notification of Intent says that NLB takes it upon itself to file a request to the Securities Commission for the approval of the announcement of the takeover bid and the subsequent publication within 15 work days.

NLB bought the majority share package it now owns from the state of Serbia, which put EUR 395 million into the state budget.
