He told Reuters that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had made an initial agreement on initiating the production procedure, which he described as “complicated and difficult”.
A group of Russian experts should visit Serbia to discuss the production of the Sputnik vaccine.
– At the moment, we have no production capacities for the vaccine, but we will build them. It doesn’t matter how much it costs. We will make that investment – Vucic said and pointed out that Serbia’s goal was to produce not just for its own needs, but for export to the region as well.
Reuters reports that, in February, another 200,000 doses of Sputnik V, 500,00 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, around 90,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and the first quantities of around 100,000 dozes of the AstraZeneca vaccine should arrive to Serbia.
