Orion Telekom invests EUR 50m in telecommunications market in Serbia

Orion Telekom, which is the result of the merger of Internet operators SezamPro, Neobee.Net and MediaWorks, is going to invest EUR 50m in development of the company and telecommunications market in Serbia within next five years. The new company will start providing services to private and business users in June 2010.

Orion Telekom is the result of EUR 24m worth of investment in the telecommunications market in Serbia and takeover of three main Internet operators - SezamPro, Neobee.Net and MediaWorks.

In May 2009, MediaWorks got the license for wireless fixed telephony services and started developing telecommunications infrastructure that will facilitate wireless fixed telephony and commercial use of the network.
