Export of food to Russia - cooperation between Serbian manufacturers and market chain Tander-Magnit

- The representatives of 17 Serbian food companies are going to visit Russian Krasnodar in order to establish a cooperation with market chain Tander - Magnit and start exporting goods to the market of Russian Federation - it is stated on the website of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The visit is an extension of the successful cooperation that was started in September 2009 and the visit paid by Roman Satarov, the Import Manager of Tander-Magnit, to the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), during which several business contracts were signed with Serbian food manufacturers. On that occasion, the Import Manager at market chain Tander-Magnit recommended the organization of meetings and talks in Krasnodar on May 18 and 19 with the aim of expanding the cooperation and making it more concrete. He expressed interest in broad range of food products, particularly in fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen products, canned products and pates, confectioneries and alcohol drinks.
Joint stock company Tander is the company that runs market chain Magnit. It was founded in 1994 and it is one of five largest distributors in Russia. The company turned over USD 5bn worth of profit in 2009. The retail network comprises 3,228 retail facilities. The company has 58 branch offices and 76,000 employees.
The company also owns a motor pool with about 1,500 vehicles, which contributes to the reduction of transportation costs and increases the efficiency of the delivery of goods.
The forthcoming visit will also include the talks in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Krasnodar region, with which PKS has signed the agreement on cooperation.
