World Bank’s open competition for employment projects, companies – let us know your ideas

The chief of the World Bank office in Serbia and Montenegro, Keoling Jungr, invited all interested organizations, associations and institutions to register for the allotment of donations, which will finance creative projects of employment in the formal sector in our country.

Jungr explained that World Bank’s open competition will be open until January 30, 2006, for organizations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and SCG, and the 30 best projects will be awarded with $35 000 USD each, after the conference of the international specialist jury, on May 17 and 18, 2006, in Belgrade.

Awards will be presented through the program “Fair of development ideas 2006” for the West Balkans, Jungr said and announced that, in the outline of that project, teams and partner organizations of the World Bank will visit cities in Serbia in order to promote this project.

All interested should fill out and submit the form they receive to the office of World Bank in Belgrade or to some of the partner organizations of World Bank or to web site www.worldbank.org/westbalkandm.

Jungr added that the World Bank would try to obtain support from other development institutions and private companies in order to finance 30 awarded employment projects with about 35,000 USD each.
