Construction of Luxury Ski Complex Omorika to Start in April on Kopaonik – Apartment Hotel and Alpine-style Villas with Separate Ski Shops and Mini Spa Centers

This spring, the construction of a unique luxury ski complex with 5 stars begins on Kopaonik. Luxury Ski Complex Omorika will be located on the 30th kilometer of the Brus-Kopaonik road, in the area of Srebrnac and Jaram, right next to the ski road which connects two popular ski tracks, Karaman and Gobelja.

As the investors, Omorika Group, point out, the entire complex is designed as a set of chalet villas (cabins) in a French-Alpine style.

– The location of the future complex is ideal – the altitude of 1,820 m provides an incredible view to the slopes of Kopaonik and a large part of Serbia. The apartment complex with the accompanying features such as a spa center, a gym, multifunctional halls for presentations, saunas, pool halls, mini cinemas and others, will take up over 8,000 m2 – the company says for eKapija.

They note that the plan is to build the complex in two phases:

– The construction of five tourist facilities is planned within the first phase – five chalet villas with spacious and sunny apartments, each with a kitchen, a guests’ bathroom, a spacious dining room, a living room and bedrooms with separate bathrooms. Each apartment will also have its own parking space, and each villa will feature a ski shop, a washing facility and its own mini spa center (pool, sauna, massage room…). As per the choice of the future owners, the various structures of the villas are suitable for functioning as separate houses or villas with several apartments.

In the second phase, the plan is to build an apartment hotel with luxury apartments of various structures, a restaurant with a large open balcony for the guests of the hotel, but also all those who want to enjoy quality home-made food, a children’s playground, a ski equipment service and other services.

– All the facilities are equipped with the most modern protection systems and smart installations systems which can be controlled by a mobile phone and an app, from anywhere in the world – our interviewees add.

The idea of the investor, which has experience in building such facilities in the Alps themselves, is, they say, to bring to Kopaonik a dose of luxury that is characteristic of the most prestigious ski resorts in the world.

– This is a simple form without too many details, which, along with the authenticity of each facility, the surrounding nature and the focus placed on enjoyment, is the kind of luxury that is not available just anywhere – Omorika says. This company is simultaneously the investor, the designer and the general contractor on this project.

The projected value of the investment is EUR 25 million, and the beginning of the construction of this complex, according to the investor, is planned for April 2021.
