What is the taste of nothing?

Stores on Rhode Island in the USA have started selling the cans of nothing, and each cent from the sales will be spent on food for hungry people in the area.

During the advertising campaign, activists invited the people in a local shopping center to taste "something that their fellow citizens eat every day" and then they ceremoniously served an empty plate in front of them.

The price of each can equals the price of 5 kg of food for local public kitchens.
