Ministry of Defense wants FC Partizan's stadium back

As Danas learns, the Ministry of Defense is leading proceedings for the return of Partizan football club stadium to its possession. Following a decision of the authorities in the former Yugoslavia, the property of the then JNA stadium was transferred to Partizan. The Ministry claims it was an illegal and illegitimate decision.
The source of newspaper Danas says that the court proceedings have already had their first consequences - Partizan was informed two weeks ago that the court passed a temporary measure to prohibit disposal of the football club's property, that is, it placed a ban on sale of real estates or change of their purpose. The circles close to Partizan say that the proceedings started by the Ministry is a "blow to Partizan" that can have far-reaching consequences.
People in the Ministry of Defense confirmed to Danas that they had asked from the court to return Partizan's stadium to their possession, but they pointed out that it was an inherited dispute from 1995. "The decision on allotment of the real estates in the possession of the Federal Secretariat for People's Defense for free was made in 1990, at the time when the Federal Secretary was general Veljko Kadijević," said the people in the Ministry of Defense.
