Compulsory measures introduced in JAT Airways

Republic Government introduced measures for securing of conditions for undisturbed functioning of JAT Airways. The orders were issued to Administrative Board and acting director of JAT to bring payment of salaries into accord with economic policy of the Government of Serbia, as well as to change Statute of JAT Airways in order to enable company to operate without any disturbances and limit the rights of some parts of the company. All these have to be done within 6 months. Besides, the company has to be restructured as soon as possible, especially separation of the companies according to the following plan:
- March 2005 – founding of parts of JAT Airways, namely: Slavija Hotel, Suites on Kopaonik mountain, Economic Aviation, Preparation of Airplane Meals and Pilot Academy
- April 2005 – Radio JAT
- May 2005 – Technical maintenance of airplanes
- June 2005 – Company for Leasing and Charter
It was also ordered that the ad should be announced until February 21, 2005, at the latest, on stimulation for voluntary departure from the company with compensation of € 250 per year of service. The deadline for the decision will be March 10, 2005.
General director mr Aleksandar Milutinović was released from the position, whereas his place was taken by acting general director Nebojša Starčević.
