Montenegrin cyber thief in prison

The citizen of Budva suspected to have damaged Telekom Montenegro for minimum €800,000 has been arrested. Without the license and registered company, he used VOIP service, which is used for making phone calls via Internet, transferred international calls to local phone network and collected money for services somewhere abroad.

License for VOIP service in Montenegro costs €120,000 per year. Since only incoming calls have been analysed so far, it is expected that the damage caused to Telekom will be double bigger after the completion of the investigation.
