No sale of Simpo before September

- Tender for sale of the minority package of Simpo's stocks, which was supposed to be announced at the end of last year, will be announced, in the best of the cases, in September - newspaper Blic learns from well-informed sources.

One of the reasons for that is that Swiss Ikea agrees to negotiate on strategic partnership, that is, procurement of the minority package, on condition that it gets the land for construction of its retail facility.

Ikea has been mentioned as the most serious potential strategic partner from long time ago, especially because it sells Simpo's products in Russia, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

The talks with Ikea were first led by the management of the Vranje-based company, which recommended both model of the sale and Ikea as the future minority owner to the Government. And then the negotiations were resumed by the Government, which was asked by Ikea to provide some benefits for procurement of the lot - Blic's source explains.
