Panasonic arrives in Svilajnac to invest EUR 15m

The municipality of Svilajnac announced on Friday (April 30, 2010) the arrival of Panasonic in that place in early October 2010 and an investment worth EUR 15m.

The Deputy Mayor of Svilajnac, Predrag Milanović, said it would be Panasonic's biggest factory in Europe, which would occupy the surface of 18,000 square meters.

It is not specified in the municipal statement what will be produced in the future factory. Also, the statement does not include the details of that business arrangement.

As it is pointed out, the companies that already operate in Svilajnac are Tri Stan Fresh Produce from Netherlands, Green Orli from Israel, Reum GmbH from Germany and PORR from Austria.
