It’s Majesty, the Cup of Coffee – The True Measure of Everything

Coffee has long since been characterized as a “magic drink”, because they couldn’t explain what makes this plant so special. “Black as night, hot as hell, sweet as a kiss and strong as love” – the Brazilians used to say. By contrast, what we have stopped doing now is trying to describe coffee. It’s not to be talked about, it is to be “felt”.

Everyone has their view of this small, but important, ritual of drinking coffee. The only thing important is that the feeling is special. Whether we are looking forward to having a coffee with our dearest of “selfishly” stealing the moments for ourselves only.

In all this, one thing has remained the same for 20 years now. The Doncafé cup, which has been there for all coffee aficionados for two decades. It is the true measure of coffee, but also the true measure of pretty much everything else. We use it to measure, pour from, decant, add. We cook, dance and sing the lyrics of our favorite songs with it. And so, we have been together for 20 years.

In these cold days before the holidays, new recipes are being tested in kitchens throughout Serbia, which we want to surprise our dearest with. Because it is a true measure of love. It has been said many times by our mothers and grandmothers – add about a cupful of flour… And there’s hardly a home which doesn’t use the Doncafé cup to measure this cupful.

Although this year has served as a special life lesson for everyone, it has taught us that we can go through difficult times together. Now that we are slowly saying goodbye to it, we see that, thanks to the fact that some things have been challenging, we have started thinking about things that are truly important in a different way. We appreciate our moments together, a kind word and a smile more. We have realized how important it is to keep imagining and dreaming. To always recognize the right people and the right things. And to always leave a moment for a perfect experience of enjoying coffee at home from the anniversary holiday Doncafé cups.
