RSD 126.3 Billion Planned for Capital Expenditures for Infrastructure – Ministry to Work on 49 Projects in 2021

In the overview of the planned capital expenditures for the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure within the proposed 2021 budget, a total of RSD 126.3 billion is planned for 49 projects.

An amount of RSD 40.5 billion is planned for the project of the Hungarian-Serbian railway in 2021.

For the construction of the Belgrade-Sarajevo highway, RSD 4.5 billion is planned, and a sum of RSD 1.1 billion is planned for the construction of the Nis-Merdare highway, Nis-Plocnik section.

Among the planned projects is the construction of the Preljina-Pozega highway section, for which a total of RSD 10.5 billion is to be set aside next year, whereas RSD 15 billion is to be set aside for the Pojate-Preljina highway section.

A total of RSD 8.5 billion is meant for the construction of the Ruma-Sabac-Loznica route, RSD 2.6 billion is to be put into the Novi Sad-Ruma high-speed route, and RSD 4.72 billion is to be set aside for the construction of the Iverak-Lajkovac high-speed route.

A sum of RSD 6.3 billion is planned for the construction of the bypass route around Belgrade, section from the Sava bridge near Ostruznica to Bubanj Potok, and RSD 1.03 billion is set aside for the construction of a new bridge on the Sava in Belgrade.

RSD 7.87 billion is meant for the construction of rail infrastructure and procurement of diesel train engines, and RSD 3.2 billion is planned for the realization of rail infrastructure projects.

Among the planned projects are the construction of new ports and expansion of existing ones. A total of RSD 4.49 billion is planned for the expansion of the capacities of the Port of Smederevo, whereas RSD 2.15 billion is to be set aside for the expansion of the Port of Sremska Mitrovica. A sum of RSD 108 million is to be put into the construction of a new port in Belgrade.

A million dinars is planned for the project of dredging up the sunk German ships from WW2 in 2021.

The plans of the Water Directorate of the Republic of Serbia feature the construction of an icebreaker, for which RSD 221.2 million is planned in 2021.
