Programs and Activities of Gallery of Matica Srpska Available Online

Considering the circumstance brought about by the year 2020, the Gallery of Matica Srpska has prepared online programs and activities for its visitors, this national museum announced.

– The Gallery of Matica Srpska started the year 2020 with the motto “Be With Art” in an attempt to highlight its efforts to make art a part of people's everyday lives. Now that the options for socializing and communication are limited, the Gallery of Matica Srpska still enables you to be with art – the Gallery says, presenting the program of the current exhibitions for all tastes.

As part of the new educational program My City, Novi Sad Art Stories, the Gallery has created a family guide. Using the special printed family guide and taking part in role-playing games and interesting tasks, parents, caretakers, grandmothers and grandfathers and children can learn about the history and the heritage of Novi Sad, viewing the artworks that comprise the permanent exhibition of the Gallery.

– Creative workshops will from now on be realized at the homes of our visitors and through walks through Novi Sad, with the help of the materials which we will send them by email each Saturday – the Gallery of Matica Srpska says.

From the comfort of their home, aficionados of art can enjoy the video series Inspired by France. In cooperation with the French Institute, museum curators throughout Serbia talk about famous Serbian artists who lived and worked in France in short two-minute videos. Stories about Bogdan Suput, Sava Sumanovic, Kosta Hakman and Pedja Milosavljevic have been transferred to the digital world from the Gallery of Matica Srpska.

All the materials are available on the official YouTube channel of the French Institute of Serbia and the Gallery of Matica Srpska.
