Bulgarians want "Srbolek"

The process for takeover of stocks of "Srbolek" has been opened. Bulgarian “Sofarma” is interested n procurement of at least 50% of stocks of this Serbia’s pharmaceutical company. "Sofarma" is owned by pharmaceutical multinational "Elfarma". IN the following 15 days, the potential bidders will be able to deliver their offers for “Srbolek” to the securities commission.


The offer of "Sofarm", i.e. "Elfarma", includes price of 910 CSD per stock of "Srbolek", which makes total of about €10m. The present price of stock of “Srbolek” on the Belgrade Stock Exchange amounts to 872 CSD, whereas the average in the previous months amounted to about 720 CSD.


Accounting value of "Srbolek" (according to balance sheets from 2004) is about €7.8m, i.e. 605 CSD per stock.

"Srbolek" entered privatization process in accordance with previous laws. Throug Share Fund and Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, the State owns 32.51% of stock. "Srbolek" is, by the way, the oldest Serbia’s pharmaceutical company and it is the 8th in medicine production and the 3rd in wholesale trade in Serbia.

At the beginning of this symmer, local big cigarette dealer “Megatabak” gave its offer. But the business failed because the minor stockholders did not want to sell the stocks through that offer.
