DTD Ribarstvo opened factory for production of fish food in Bački Jarak - fish-processing unit in September

DTD Ribarstvo in Bački Jarak opened a new factory for fish food production yesterday (April 12, 2010). It is a greenfield investment that exceeds 4m EUR, which will make it possible for this Vojvodina-based company, which is considered as leading manufacturer and distributor of fish in Serbia, to start production of fish food according to the state-of-the-arts technologies.

That factory will employ 50 workers in the first phase and hire hundreds of collaborators, while the products will be intended mainly for export.

According to the company's founder Tomica Đorđević, the company plans to open a fish-processing factory in September, which includes production of dishes and ready-made fish products. The idea is that the production cycle based on healthy fish food production be completed.

The capacities of the fish food factory in Bački Jarak should ensure production of 12,000 tons of extruded fish and 40,000 tons of pelleted fish food. There is room for 10,000 tons of cereals and oil plants in silos, while the warehouse is big enough for storing 2,000 tons of ready-made products.
