- The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina is working on removing the non-customs barriers with Serbia and Croatia, which were present in the operations between the two countries and Bosnian entrepreneurs. People in the Ministry expect the application of the Agreement on mutual acknowledgment of certification documents and accreditation bodies with Serbia to start in about two months - daily newspaper SAN announced.
The talks about removal of non-customs barriers with Serbia are close to end and, as Midhat Salić from the Ministry's Sector for International Economic Relations explained, final negotiations are already over, as well as all the things that should be included in the protocol that will be signed after few more checks are done in Serbia.
- What is left to be done is that some lists of accredited laboratories be exchanged and that the date of the signing of the Agreement be agreed with Serbian Ministry of Health and Ministry of Agriculture. One month upon the signing, the Agreement will become effective - says Salić.
He explains that the talks with Croatia are much slower "because that country adapted its regulations, standards and legislation in that field to those from EU to a great extent".
