Kragujevac-Batocina Road Completed – Construction of New Interchange and Toll Booth in Batocina and Kragujevac-Mrcajevci-Morava Corridor High-speed Route This Spring

The directors of the Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak, has visited the completed Kragujevac-Batocina road section and confirmed that the completion of this section of the high-speed route through Batocina meant that Kragujevac is now connected to the highway as well.

The new section through Batocina is 4.5 kilometers long, a sum of RSD 1.1 billion has been set aside for its construction, and the modern high-speed route will enable safe traffic from Kragujevac to the highway, with a frequency of 12,000 vehicles a day.

– We are preparing plans and we will build a new interchange and toll station in Batocina. It will be much larger and wider and moved quite a bit toward Batocina. The works start this spring – he said.

Drobnjak said in Batocina that projects for the construction of a high-speed route that would connect Kragujevac to the Morava Corridor through Mrcajevci were being prepared as well.

– The project should be completed by March, following which the contractor should be selected and the construction should start – he said.

The section from Kragujevac to the Batocina interchange on the highway is 25 kilometers long, and it cost around RSD 5.5 billion, he said and added that it now took only 15 minutes to reach the highway.
