Delta Maxi opened regional center for purchase of fruits and vegetables in Bijeljina - products from Semberija in Serbia and Russia


- Delta Maxi in Banjaluka, a branch office of Serbian Delta Holding, opened 100,000 EUR worth of regional center for purchase of fruits and vegetables in Bijeljina on April 1st - newspaper Nezavisne Novine announced.
The cooperation between agricultural manufacturers and Delta Maxi will ensure the sales of the products of Semberija's farmers not only in domestic, but also in Serbian and Russian markets.
The facility at about 550 square meters is equipped in accordance with the up-to-date global standards for storing and keeping fruits and vegetables. Its daily capacity is 150 tons.
- This center can satisfy the needs of the whole region, while the fruits and vegetables purchased from agricultural manufacturer will be distributed through Delta Maxi's retail network. The plan is that the center registers turnover worth 2.5m EUR in the first year - said Milan Borota, CEO of Delta Maxi for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He pointed out that the first facility of the type was located in Bijeljina because Semberija was famous for mass production of quality fruits and vegetables.
- In association with agricultural manufacturers and the wholesale market in Bijeljina, Delta Maxi will offer its customers the freshest fruits and vegetables from the fields in Semberija. The products from Semberija purchased today can be on the shelves of the stores from Banjaluka to Moscow already the next day - said Borota.
Delta Maxi's retail network in Bosnia and Herzegovina comprises 24 facilities of large and small format. People in this company plan to continue the expansion to the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
