GEA Farm Technologies acquires Skiold Mullerup, leading Danish manufacturer of agricultural machines

GEA Farm Technologies continues its expansion strategy towards a total solutions provider in livestock farming through the acquisition of SKIOLD MULLERUP A/S, a leading manufacturer of automatic feeding, manure handling and bedding systems for cows headquartered in Ullerslev, Denmark.

“This is another important stepstone in our strategy, to enhance our product portfolio, now including automatic feeding technology, an increasingly important success factor in modern livestock farming”, says Dirk Hejnal, Segment President of GEA Farm Technologies.

From being a small blacksmith shop established in 1901, MULLERUP has grown into an innovative company specialized in automation within dairy farming. Since 1993, the company has been affiliated with the SKIOLD Group, one of the largest suppliers of technical equipment and management systems for the pork producers in Europe.

GEA Farm Technologies will grow the product line MULLERUP internationally and is dedicated to strengthen its Business Unit Farm Equipment globally, too. MULLERUP will continue to operate out of their headquarters and manufacturing facility in Ullerslev.
