- Construction of nearly 30m EUR worth of unit of Metal Cinkara in Inđija will be finished in summer when it will be put in trial operation. We expect Cinkara (galvanizing unit) to be ceremoniously opened in September 2010 in the presence of Slovenian and Serbian prime ministers – Goran Ješić, the Mayor of Inđija, announced for eKapija.

Construction of the biggest and the most modern technology line for hot galvanization in southeast Europe commenced in August 2009, while the annual capacity of the production unit should amount to about 60,000 tons.

Ješić announced that the world's biggest manufacturer of pumps Grundfos should start production in Serbia in 2010.

Danish manufacturer of industrial pumps signed the contract in September 2009 with the municipality of Inđija on construction of a factory worth 70m EUR, which should employ 500 people.

People in the municipality of Inđija plan to work on public utility projects this year.

- We are primarily working on construction of the regional landfill whose completion is expected in 2011. That is our big step forward in waste disposal and it is backed by the World Bank. Construction of the regional landfill is one of the biggest projects in Vojvodina and it is worth 10m EUR - said Ješić.
