Door of Novi Sad's Vodovod opened for investors - 65m RSD for selection of adviser for establishment of strategic partnership

The City Assembly of Novi Sad adopted the change in the business plan of Vodovod i Kanalizacija and, thus, enabled investment of 65m RSD in the selection of the adviser for introduction of strategic partner to that company. Such model will be applied for the first time in the city public utility sector.

The CEO of Vodovod, Branko Bjelajac, expects that the tender for selection of the private partner of Vodovod i Kanalizacija could be announced by the end of the year. The most probable is the model where the private partner would get 49% of the company on the period of 20 years and build the waste water treatment unit in return. Bjelajac says that that would raise the level of services and prevent the possibility of privatization of the most significant city company.
