Construction of Apartments for the Young Planned to Begin in 2021

(Illustration) Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that the state would make an effort for the construction of apartments for the young to begin in 2021 and that youth organizations would make a plan about who needs them the most.

After a meeting with representatives of youth organizations about the My First Salary program, Brnabic said that young scientists, young married couples and the young that need to be supported, would get the apartments, the government says on its website.

– In order not to think about what the priority groups are and who needs to be supported, we let youth associations decide and they will make a plan delineating who needs the apartments the most and where and under which criteria we should give them – she said.

The prime minister pointed out that the state had already started working with youth organizations on the realization of the project of apartment building for the young, but that everything had been stopped by the coronavirus crisis.

– However, today we agreed to continue working on it and to have some concrete results in 2021 – Brnabic said and announced that the state would continue talking with the young.
