Estimated value of PTT's public procurements - 4bn RSD

- The estimated value of public procurements of goods and services that PTT Srbija has in the pipeline for year 2010 is somewhat bigger than 4bn RSD - the Deputy CEO of that public company, Miloš Miščević, said today (March 24, 2010).

Miščević said at the presentation of the operational plan for PTT Srbija's public procurements in the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia that the priority in the process of public procurements would be given to the companies in Serbia because, as he explained, the function and the task of PTT was to back the development of domestic economy.

According to her words, major share of funds will be used for construction of the main processing center in Zemun and development of PTT's optical infrastructure.

According to the announcement, PTT Srbija will conduct 573 public procurement procedures by the end of the year, 200 of which will be of big value.

Public procurements procedures will be conducted for purchase of the means of transportation, official uniforms and footwear, postal and communications equipment, fuel, liquefied gas, heating oil, for introduction and legalization of certificates, purchase of office furniture and supplies.

The company will also procure various types of services - from legal and insurance services to transportation of money and maintenance of hygiene in the facilities.

The aim of the presentation is to make it possible for entrepreneurs to timely and adequately prepare for participation in tenders in order for PTT's funds to be used as efficiently as possible with maximum transparency.
