Siemens Completing Assembly of 47 Trams Meant for German City of Bremen in Kragujevac

The final stage of the assembly of trams of the Avenio brand is in progress at Siemens Mobility, a company located at the Mind Park near Kragujevac. The production of these trams started at the company in March 2020.

The company says in an exclusive statement for Dnevnik that the plan is for 47 trams produced in Kragujevac to be delivered to the German city of Bremen in late 2020, of the total of 77 that the German city ordered from Siemens.

– In case the City of Belgrade opens a public procurement procedure for rail vehicles, Siemens Mobility will certainly evaluate it and possibly make a bid – Siemens says, commenting on the frequent media reports that the Belgrade city authorities are also planning to order a certain quantity of trams from the Kragujevac-based manufacturer.
