YUTA: Travel Agencies in Serbia not Selling Arrangements from Today

He says for Beta that the passengers who have paid for their arrangements and are currently using them or have received replacement vouchers do have insurance while they're using them.
– Due to the inability to pay insurance, from today, travel agencies have no licenses and can only sell individual services, tickets or hotel accommodation, because that is insured in a different way – Senicic said.
He pointed out that insurance companies had not accepted to insure agency arrangements, even under the condition that the policy prices are raised. Senicic added that this had only been announced two weeks before, leaving no option for travel agencies.
The Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia, Rasim Ljajic, said yesterday that a solution was being sought in cooperation with banks for travel agencies to get a license.
